Template of model clauses

Use this template of model clauses to create an information sharing agreement that satisfies the requirements of the information sharing standard.

Model clauses for an information sharing agreement

The information sharing standard requires that information sharing agreements between a government agency and a non-government third party include specific requirements.

An agreement may need to be legally binding with clauses for those specific requirements. This template contains model clauses to help government agencies create their agreements.

Before using these model clauses, read the standard and the guidance pages first.

How to use this template

Government agencies can use the model clauses from the template that are appropriate for an agreement with a non-government third party.

These clauses can be used to form a contract or deed to attach to an information sharing agreement — or use the template as the basis for an agreement document.

The government agency is responsible for the content of any clauses in an information sharing agreement between that agency and a non-government third party.
